Born in France, right at the end of WWII, and raised in an academic and cosmopolitan family, Aya is a graduate of the Sorbonne and the Institute of Political Sciences, Paris. After a tenure at the French Embassy in Singapore, Aya decided to quit elite life and to dedicate his creativity to the service of humanity.
In 1985, the vision of the StarWheel Mandalas led to the current collection of 108+ large size, airbrushed paintings on canvas. The first series of StarWheels was born in Santa Monica, CA and the successive series in Santa Fe, NM, Ridgway, CO and Sedona, AZ.
A resident of Sedona since 1997, Aya has been variously involved with sacred arts classes & events, mandala creation workshops, Sedona guided tours at Earth Wisdom, Labyrinth design & making and Sacred Geometry teaching. Aya had several StarWheel art exhibits, has offered community awareness events at the Sedona Library, and is currently the green caretaker of the Peace Garden at the Sedona Creative Life center.
Realizing that Sedona was becoming a global spiritual university for many seekers around the world, Aya founded in 2005 the Sedona School of Sacred Geometry, based on the 18 volumes of the Encyclopedia of Sacred Geometry (available as free PDF download on AyaLove.Earth). In the School’s website, Aya states: “We are living at the extraordinary & exciting times of a global transformation to a higher order of human consciousness… (Mandalas) of Sacred Geometry are the expression and resurrection of our deep innate wisdom, now awakening from a long sleep: seeing again the all-encompassing, fractal-holographic Oneness of nature, life and spirit… The keyword is Harmony.”
In 2011, Aya re-discovered yoga and the associated disciplines of partner & acro-yoga and has danced the body-divine ever since. Several yoga teacher trainings in Bali and India led to the synthesis of Anjali Yoga, itself a form of wisdom-mandala in action.
Aya’s visionary project has long been clear: to establish an international educational environment to provide a garden of creativity helping young people to keep and expand their full cosmic presence.
The Academy for Mandala Arts is the current incarnation for this vision.
Now that “I” become “We” again
while getting a permanent taste of the Nectar of Life,
we can only come closer & closer,
